Transmission/rear end ?

When I get to around 45-50 mph I feel the truck hopping in the rear end. Its not a violent feeling but just a up and down motion. You can turn around and look and almost see it looking at the top of the tailgate. Speed lower and higher than that and everything is smooth. I have a 8in suspension lift and went to local shop and the guy said could be a broken spring or bad shock. There isnt any broken spring and find it hard to believe a shock would have anything to do with it. I got so frustrated w/ it I stopped by the Home Depot and bought 6 80# bags quick crete and put on the azz end and still does the same thing. Any suggestion?
Also, (not sure if could be connected) Im have a prob with my overdrive the last couple weeks. First time it goes into overdrive in the morning there is a bucking sensation (not smooth at all) I prees the pedal for it to down shift and let her shift back into overdrive and everything is smooth. Sometimes I have to do it twice but after that the rest of the day overdrive shifts and runs fine. Any help greatly apprecited

Check

U-joints tight or loose can cause this.

Common problem on 03 to 07 trucks. Your speed is lower because of the big tires. Mine does it in the 70 mph range as does my buddies. They changed the spring perches and location on the 08 model year because of this.

I have replaced the u joints and carrier bearing still does the same thing ( the hoping in the rear) . A shock would really suprise me but will check i would think that after ptting 480 lbs on concrete in the back and doin the same thing that would rule the shock out. The trans is a real concern. I'm running 40 in tires on the truck now. U think it is shifting into overdrive to quick at a low speed because of the tires?

No I think the bouncing effect on your truck is showing up at a lower speed because of the tires.
