Nothing special Chandler. We go up there just about every time I'm off because that's where our nearest Target Store is and we generally need to make a trip to Pet Smart to pick up dog food for my Shepherds. Plenty of good places to eat and the best movie theater around. We took the kids to see Puss In Boots last night and it was hilarious.
silly question, but id rather be safe then smushed.
1ton f350 diesel, need to take the front right tire off, a 36" tire. all i have is a 2ton engine hoist with a hook and a 30ftx4in recovery strap. whats the best way to hook up both or just the hoist to lift it?
keep in mind, where im parked i can only reach the middle of the front of the truck, i cant off-set the hoist to the passengerside or even have the hoist on the passengerside at all
and will a 2ton jackstand support it when im done?
I've got one of those driveway garages too, Bob. 32' by 32' and can't get in it. No recommendations here Freddy. Except move the vehicle to another place. Beg, borrow, buy or steal a high lift floor jack. We can't have any crushed freddies on site.
i used my engine hoist with my tow strap wrapped around the frame until it was short enough to lift my exploder with and engine in it.
but this trucks slightly heavier...
not for that one specifically, i mean that type of jack. a friend has a 1 ton one, and another has one but idk what the weight on it is.
what weight rating jack should i use at a minimum?
