Yikes...and 46 felt cold to me!
Loving the cool weather though. Next Friday I head down to Charlotte County for some quiet time in a tree stand with my smoking canon.
We've got bow and black powder going on up here. Drove by a friend's girlfriends' house yesterday - he is an avid hunter - bow and gun. He was there and so were 3 fair-size does grazing in the yard. Guess he must have been busy sent you a PM
Good morning Rob, Bob, Chandler, George, and everyone else stopping by Virginia today! I hope all of you are having a great day. I'm off until Monday night now. WOOHOO!
Bob, I wish I could buy it at the store...it'd be cheaper!! My tags this year were $64 total for resident, large game, and muzzleloader. I remember when it was $12.50 for each. Oh well...the price I pay for some time in the cold, up in a tree, by myself, just waiting...and waiting...and waiting. Luckily I get service in the stand so I'll probably be on here for most of that time spent waiting.
Technology is amazing.
here look at this and keep warm
HAHAHA if only it were that simple Rob.
Although tech is great, especially in my hunting clothing. 8 Years ago I bought a NICE set of jacket and bibs. Everything but waterproof and a good top line at the time. It kept me mostly warm.
Last year I walk into BassPro and drop just a fraction of the money I spent 8 years ago. New set is waterproof, scentblock, quiet to the touch, and 200 gram thinsulate. It's the warmest gear I've ever put on. Jacket, bibs, and gloves for what I bought a pair of boots for. All to look like a tree
G'morning fellas. Its dumping cats and dogs and lions and tigers and everything else down here. I hope it let's up soon so we can have a dry afternoon.
Good morning Chandler, Rob, George, and all who stop by today!
Chandler, it started yesterday and rained here right up until a couple of hours ago. We went to Blacksburg last night and ran into a mix of sleet and rain that never stopped. Once again, I think the meteorologist missed the mark. The low here yesterday was supposed to have been in the upper 40s but when we left around 4 PM it was 35. I'm hoping it dries up a little today.
