Well, I went looking for Pete's truck...
At first I checked the closest lots to the ramp.
If he had made a left at the first light, there are on street spots not 500' after you pass back under the highway.
Then I got smart and figured I should go to the exit and follow the oil...

Pete,
You're in the Exit of the Armstrong Courts housing projects on Hamilton Avenue...
I PM'd you my number.
This turbo is about the only upgrade I want the isn't 2 grand. Going to rebuild this one.
Jim: The term housing projects makes me nervous then I remember I'm in Greenwich and nobody would look twice at a new truck nevermind Rustbucket.er
Edit so as to not double post:
The truck is on its way back to the shop now. Got a call from my father saying that he found it ok, added oil, and it started and drove onto the trailer. He said it marked its territory pretty well when it climbed the ramps. (oil coming out of the exhaust) Rebuild kit is en-route from RiffRaff diesel and she should be back to running this weekend so long as the turbo is rebuildable.
jim im going to give you a call if i ever need a P.I.
not sure if it was answered or not, i had a lot of catch up reading to do.
RANGER: we took 3rd in the "over the top" non nitrous class. unfortunately, the first run was its last. i didnt realize i had reached the top with the front end and held it to the screws. my brother claims 10' of air, it felt like 20. i havent really taken a full damage report, but leaf springs and some other front end components are tweaked (a lot). the transfer case tail shaft section grenaded, i think the rear driveshaft may have used all available slip yoke and stuffed up into the t-case. the paddles chewed on some body and fender flares. it sucks, because the truck was running GREAT and it felt like a really good run, perhaps with the second run i could have fine tuned the step portion of the hill and shaved a little time off for an even better run.
F-150: we dont know when or why.....but the front right axle broke at the diff. ray went up in 2x4 which is not so fast in a 4x4 class. so thats not so bad, really its a kick in the ***** after the first race (tranny slipped and ultimately gave up the ghost on the hill) AND after we had made a few trial runs at my parents field with AWESOME 4 wheel mudslinging action. then, to further the sack pounding, when we were ready to put it on the trailer....the F'ING starter crapped out and we ended up pushing it on the trailer.
2 trucks, 3 classes, ended the day with one 3rd place and pushing both trucks on the trailers.
wheels TV was there and interviewed me (with a bunch of FTE goons making faces and screaming things behind the camera man) and also put a camera on the roof of the ranger for the top run. i havent checked yet today, but it should be posted on their website within the next couple days, if they use it at all.
It was my sister bridal shower and i had to help wth stuff at the beging and end then keep my uncle company cause he tends to fall asleep when no ones lookig.
you did get the most air out of anyone in your class. looked pretty good climbing the hill, too bad it hit that hard, you had a good chance of winning that class
i saw the tow rigs up in the pits, you were staged to race, never made my way back up when you guys were around to introduce myself. have to wait for next time
