7.3 idi injector pump OOPS!
I have included a picture of the issue. I was trying to adjust my new TPS sensor on my '91 7.3 idi, and curiosity got the best of me. I put to much pressure on the clamp screw and popped it. Ford and Dixie Diesel both said I'd have to bring the pump to them to have it replaced and then calibrated because the clamp works the plunger on the bottom left side of the pump.
Is there any other option to this? I don't mind having them do the work, just don't want to spend the money if avoidable.Sign In

Does that work? If not it's the clamp on the throttle shaft that sits just beside the pump on the left side if sitting in the driver seat. The clamp has an inclined area on it that works an arm that runs down the side of the pump and is attached to, what looks to be a plunger.
