7.3 inj pump
I have a stock 1989 7.3 stock truck. I was wondering if an injection pump was rebuildable? if so who does them? How do they work exactly, Ive heard they bump up ur pressure from the lift pump and that they have a built in fuel shut off.

Yes, the injector pump can be rebuilt. But it is not a home shop type of deal, as it takes some speciality equipment. Look for a shop that specializes in diesel services. Some of the online places that sell remanufactured IPs do not have a goood reputation, so do a little research before buying.
