Rust Everywhere! Please read.

I have an 89 351w EB. When u bought the truck i knew i was going to have my hands full with the rust. The bottom of the doors and rear fenders are rusted OUT. I am currently grinding all the rusted metal away and am going to have the metal replaced. Now the question i have is,

The undercarriage of the truck is rusted too. Does anyone know of a website or store that sells the undercoating and rust proofing materials i need. I am going to sand and scrape the rust of the chassis but i need some rust proofing/undercoating.

Any suggestions about the infamous Ford Bronco Rust Problems?

Thanx.

Ahh...Bronco cancer! The great truck eater. As to the question about rust inhibiting/deterring products, I know several people (including my brother) who have cleaned the metal, done the patch work to replace things that were rusted through or missing and then gotten a Herculiner kit and covered the entire area in that. Its paint-on truck bed liner so it seals out the moisture and elements and leaves you with a rubberized finish that will hose off.

The guys at Rhino-linings said they routinely have people bring them floorboards and fenders to be Rhino-lined not on the outside but on the inside so that the rust can't start in places that you can't see it starting.

I think what you need to try is POR-15. This stuff works like a champ. I painted most of my frame with it and it still looks good. Worked like a champ on my leaf spring hangers. Its a little pricey but it really does work. Just follow the instructions and your good to go.
