After the tranny shop I replaced tps fixed the hard shifting and it no longer starts out in third but now t will stay in 1st until I let off the gas then shifts to o/d real fast and the rabs light is on and the brakes are good and the vss is new don't know where to go from here please help thanks
tps is out of adjustment.where did you set the new one at? or i guess the better question first would be; did you read up on how to properly set the tps yet?

we'll get that E40D shifting like a dream (probably no such thing without a shift kit though.)

When I accelerate, sometimes I will get up into 2500RPM+ before the transmission shifts on its own. If I let up on the accelerator at 2000, it will upshift. Same goes for all the gears.
I think I have my TPS set at 1.08-4.38v I think I need to close the range a little and bring the 4.38 down to 4.0 or less. Maybe 3.88?

Ya know, I've never been able to get my TPS to adjust above 3.65 on either one of my trucks! No matter what I set the idle volts to the WOT volts will be between 3.56 and 3.65. On my '94 I think maybe its because my pigtail is loose and not getting a good connection with the TPS so I have a new one that will be installed with my optishift. On my '93 I have no idea why it won't go any higher than that at WOT.
sorry not 1st straight to overdrive it went through the gears just a lot faster than it should have and now that I drove it for a day it seems better dose the e40d have to relearn cuz now its shifting good still have the rabs light on though
