TPS adjustment
Wondering if anyone has any advice about adjusting the throttle position sensor for the tranny to shift a little different?
It's a rebuilt tranny with maybe 10,000 km on it, all plugs that I've checked looked super clean.
My concern is that it shifts kinda late and slightly harsh compared to what I think it should. Nothing to be alarmed about but definitely could be a little better.
Really light acceleration it will rev close to 2000rpm sometimes before shifting.
I tested the voltage from the tps and its 1.15v not touching throttle, 4.20v wot. That seems perfect from what I've read.
Unsure if rebuilt tranny is 100% stock or not. I know the truck was used for towing heavy so it's not out of the question it could have different clutches what not , but I'd expect nothing very fancy.
I'd like for it to shift around 1500 rpm under light acceleration so I don't have to give it more throttle and rev for no reason.
Also when I checked the tps, I worked it very slowly and there are no dead spots, and the back end of the mount is all the way up on the slot adjustment.
"All E4ODs are electronically controlled. Almost everything could be tuned if you understood what it did and if you could identify where the calibration data is in your bin.
You have a head start on what is there, as the E4OD is well documented in the LHBH1 strategy document in the Tech Section"

From what I understand the tps module can be rotated to somewhat adjust the shift points by changing where it thinks the accelerator is, just not totally sure how much to adjust it or if it's mostly risk free or anything else I need to know
