Damn it, well maybe after i swap my IDI out with a newer powerstroke i might be able to find one. dont want to turbo it due to the fact it has 450,324 miles on it and im looking to swap it with a 94 powerstroke.
At that mileage we gotta give you an award i think thats the most on one ive seen on the site so far congrats haha and nopw no chips you can turn up the fuel and bump up the boost to make a nice gain and smoke
why you wanna swap to those engines.... 325 dollar a piece injectors.... hurts just thinkin about it.... could get a full rebuild kit for the IDI for the price of 4 injectors for the stroke

that is an excelent point but if one IDI injector goes out you will most likely need to buy 8 new injectors. If one PSD injector goes out all you need to do is buy one injector.
Whay you said makes sense and is correct but there are two ways of thinking about injector cost.
even if you have to replace all 8 injectors on the IDI if one goes out, 8 IDI injectors cost less than 1 powerstroke injector.
and i beg to differ on that 1 at a time one the powerstroke anyway my brother has a stroke and according to ford number 8 injector went out so they replaced it... now they show number 7 is going and id be willing to bet after changing number 7 number 6 will show bad because they all have the same number of miles on them.
I would sure like to have a late 99 or newer 7.3 psd but there is no way I could ever afford over 1500 bucks for new injectors or any of the other expensive repairs on them so I'll just stick to my trusty IDI'S!
Folks, calm down on this cost issue. Sometimes when they diagnose " bad inj" it could be a loose poppet screw. Swamps diesel has injectors a lot cheaper than you guys are pricing. I have and drive both, and like my horses I love them both, they just don't slobber on me.
