What is a good peep mirror for my effie

I used the stock mirrors and stuck a 3" fish eye right in the middle on the passenger side. If you are looking for the small little mirrors mounted up at the top of the door, I cannot help you. Everybody I know that has gone with the little mirrors say they can't see anything in them, so they are really just for looks. Good luck, jag

PEEP MIRRORS
Bob Drake makes very high quality products including peep mirrors. The problem with the peep mirrors is they clamp onto the edge of the door with small allen screws which will cut into the inside of the door letting rust build up where the screws cut into the paint. I used a small piece of thin rubber to protect the paint. Works for me.

Hey Bjorn,
I don't know if it's necessary to cut a notch in the door top. There is probably enough clearence for the peep mirror mount to clear the drip rail. I was talking about the back side of the door where the peep mirror clamps on. The two small screws tighten against the inside of the door and those screws will push into the paint on the inside lip of the door allowing rust to start. If you cut a notch, you will still have to clamp the mirror with the small screws to the back of the door. I'll try to post a pic to show you what I'm talking about. If this is a show truck you don't want to damage the doors with a notch cut out.

It's true you cannot see much of anything in them, and they also prevent you from being able to open the vent window more than 45 degrees. For those of us with no AC, the vent windows are critical in the summer. I would take mine off (put on by the previous owner), if didn't already mark the paint.
