I'm sure that somewhere on this site or in previous posts this question has been asked, but I can't find it. I was wondering what kind of side view mirror/mirrors might have come stock on my '63 F250 unibody? It had a cracked Walmart quality trailer mirror on it that looked kinda stupid, and when I look at old ads or pictures of others rebuilt uni's I rarely see any side mirrors at all. I'm not worried about having an original mirror, but would prefer if it looked similar. Any suggestions?
Classic Truck Parts in OKC have the originals that fit through a slot on the door. They are useless for seeing on the passenger side. The also have the slot inserts for the mirror delete so you can use the optional "west coast" style mirrors. I'm not sure what mirror Ford used as a WC style but I bet someone on here does.
I listed 2 types in another post some that were considered "Western Jr's" by Ford. THese mounted on the top edge of the door frame and just below the glass. The original poster has 2 pics you can click on to see. These came on all 61-66 Ford pickups. I listed places to get NOS Ford kits.
Thanks Barry. I do kind of like the Western Jrs. Bet you can actually see out of the one on the passenger side. Don't think they look quite as purty, but I'm planning to tow a camper once in a while.
