mobil 1 mercon v ???

Guys i'm about to go under and flush the ATF. Every where I read suggest to use Mobil 1 Mercon V. I can't seem to find Mobil 1 that is labeled "mercon v"

this is what i find in the stores
Buy Mobil1 Dexron/Mercon Automatic Transmission Fluid (1 qt.) 98HC69 at Advance Auto Parts_____

That is the correct fluid, full synthetic, you'll be set.

Anyone know how much fluid these trannys hold? I'm doing the BTS vb change tomorrow and want to get fluid and a filter.

19qts for a full change, 5-6 quarts for just the pan. If your going to do a VB might just as well change it all.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if I drop the pan isn't most of the fluid going to leak out except what is in the converter.

If you drop the pan you will only get 5-6 quarts.

edit:The tranny holds 18 but get 20.

No. The converter holds about 8 quarts, and another 5 or so will be trapped in the trans. You'll get some of that trapped fluid when you remove the valve body. You won't get the fluid from the converter unless you flush it or remove the torque converter drain plug. If your truck is a 2001 or older it will have a drain plug.
