Starter Removal for Head Gaskets?
I'm going by the book on my head gasket job on my 2005 F-350. I've got everything torn apart and the next step is to remove the starter. I must be missing something, since I don't see how removing the starter is necessary.

You were right. The head came off without it. Thanks for the confirmation. I thought I was losing my mind when I read that the starter needed to come out.
