Just got a total knee replacement, and think it's not a good idea to hop out of truck anymore! Looking for some hoop steps, and think I want to bolt them to frame, as opposed to attaching to rocker panel as I have seen. Thank you, C
Was in the same boat last year when we got our "new" truck.
You won't find too many manufacturers that still make products for the OBS trucks. Opted to get the N-FAB bars. Based on memory, they come in two-step (both cab doors) or three-step (cab doors plus one for the forward portion of the bed). Only issue with the three steps is the bed rides on them as the frame flexes. They fit up tight to the cab. N-FAB says you can shim them down but only after you call. We opted to live with it.
Found Bully hoop steps, priced right, and they look good. Looks like cast aluminum, which I could buff out, so it would fit the style of my truck. Kind of iffy about bolting to rocker panel, so maybe I'll weld 1/8 sheet stock to rocker, and then screw to that.
Thank you, C
