Unhappy Power Windows issue/ wiring?

I have recently developed a problem in my 97' F250 HD Crew Cab 4dr...for quite some time now my passenger side window will roll down and up from the passenger side switch, and down from the drivers side switch, but not up from drivers side switch...also drivers side back window was slightly sluggish.
A couple of days ago i tore off the door panels to all doors to replace lock actuators...got that done (decided not to do the back) and realized neither of my back windows would work from the drivers switch or back switches. swapped switches in back and pasenger side worked for a little bit then quit. Put the origional switch back on and it started working again and quit. The back drivers side isnt working at all (cant hear the motor try), but the back pasanger side keepsowrking on and off (can hear motor). And now the passanger side intermitently works. im at a loss

Well 2 simple tests. Check for continuity in the wires between the switch and the motor, might be a short. Then get a 12V source and test the motor in both directions. If both of those tests pass then I'd prolly replace the switch(s).

Found problem!

Hey thanks, I actually got the back windows working again i just had to clean off some of the corrosion in the switches and put back together, however, i still have the problem with the front passenger window. It is working up and down from the switch on the passengers switch, but on the master switch it will go down, just not back up. All the other windows go up and down on the master switch this is the only problem window....not sure what to do now? I would appreciate any help! thanks.

Check the wiring in the rubber boot between the door and cab on the drivers door. Wires break in there from opening and closing the door if a broken wire is found put a short piece of wire in between where the break was or it will just break again.
My passenger window would work from drivers fine but passenger side didn't work at all. I found a wire broken in two.

I am curious if you had any luck with this issue, since I am having a similar one. The driver's window works normally, but the passenger window would only roll down from either switch, but not up. If I jumped power/ground to the motor, it rolls up just fine. I checked the connections and swapped window switches without any change. I determined that the up circuit was lacking a ground, so I ended up running a dedicated ground to the switch at the passenger door, and now that switch works for up and down. The driver's switch still only rolls the window down. I guess I could also run a dedicated ground on the driver's side, though I would prefer to find the actual problem.

Thanks!
