2004 f150 tapping noise
My truck has 91,000 miles and started last week with a tapping noise one the right side. Mechanic said could be cam phaser, lifters or crank case problem
Any one else experienced the same and what was the fix if any?

Was that for both cam phasers? It would almost be cheaper to drive to ND from OK to get it done. Thanks for the quick response. My tick is getting louder as I type.

Have you tried replacing the sensors, that seems to work for some guys from what I've read on this forum.

Is that for just phaser replacement or tensioners and timing chain guides as well? The latter is much labor intensive and costs $1836 where i work.
