Yes, I only log on when my truck breaks down! I dont have anyone else to ask! I got some excellent help here diagnosing my bad ipr valve on my f250 that was recently stolen. So I picked up a used f150, brought it home and found a problem with it pretty quick.
Maybe this will ring a bell, I did some searches and couldnt find any similar stories.
At low idle, the truck will knock/click, the idle will move around a bit and then it will die. Its happened on the freeway and while in the drive-thru, but only at low idle. It didnt die on the freeway because when I give it gas it picks back up. Most of the time the truck runs fine and its not something I can get to happen, it just randomly happens. The knocking/rattling/shaking (whatever you want to call it) seems to be coming from behind the middle of the dashboard. Any thoughts?
I have the 5.4. No codes. It will stop if I rev up the engine and it doesn't always die. I did a little more reading and I am leaning toward the idle air itake valve, but I didnt get enough info. They said it didn't throw codes.
