06 f150 problem

Yes, I only log on when my truck breaks down! I dont have anyone else to ask!

I got some excellent help here diagnosing my bad ipr valve on my f250 that was recently stolen. So I picked up a used f150, brought it home and found a problem with it pretty quick.

Maybe this will ring a bell, I did some searches and couldnt find any similar stories.

At low idle, the truck will knock/click, the idle will move around a bit and then it will die. Its happened on the freeway and while in the drive-thru, but only at low idle. It didnt die on the freeway because when I give it gas it picks back up. Most of the time the truck runs fine and its not something I can get to happen, it just randomly happens. The knocking/rattling/shaking (whatever you want to call it) seems to be coming from behind the middle of the dashboard. Any thoughts?

What engine do you have? Could be airflow sensor.. Any codes?

I have the 5.4. No codes. It will stop if I rev up the engine and it doesn't always die. I did a little more reading and I am leaning toward the idle air itake valve, but I didnt get enough info. They said it didn't throw codes.
