Have 07 F350 6.0 with custom tune loaded by Sct hand held programmer and installed Edge Insight for monitoring only but all internal engine parameters read too high. Called both Edge & Sct but each blames the other. Anyone else have this and found solution?
Not sure what you mean by internal engine parameters read too high. The SCT doesn't affect what the sensors read. The insight only reads what the sensors. Help us out with a little more detailed explanation as it sounds more like a wiring issue than a tuner/gauge issue.
When I first used my SCT my Edge did the same thing. I shut the truck off unplugged the Edge then plugged it back in and restarted the truck, went though the VIN stuff and it was fine after that. I haven't had it do it since. I think it does it if you first load your tune, have the truck running then plug the Edge in. I haven't tried to recreate it but that is kind of what happened when mine did it. Hope this helps.
Thanks I will try this and see if it works, I used to have a Banks PDA but it died on me and it was too expensive to replace just for a monitor since I replaced it with a custom tune with the sct
Thanks MPlayer, I did what you said and now the Edge reads properly, guess I had not turned the ignition off after installing the program with the SCT before plugging in the EDGE. All is well.
