e4od not downshifting????
I have a 1993 f-150 with a 6 cylinder gas engine and an e4od tranny. When you first pull out it will pull out in first but shifts hard into second and drive. Overdrive seems to come in just fine. If im just going through town and hit 2nd gear it will not downshift even at a complete stop. On the highway it will go back to drive but no farther at a complete stop. However you can shift into reverse and back to od and it will pull out in first and go through all the gears. But once you stop it will not go down past drive unless you shift to reverse and then back to od. i have not tried just going to neutral then to od but i will try that also and see what happens. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
