funky shiftin e4od

i have a 92 f350 with er0d sometimes it couldn't work better other times when it gets to 3rd itll rev really high go into gear then come back out repeatable then sometimes itll hangup in gears and ill have to manually shift 1-2-3. when it first did it it was only in third was told bad tranny had it built and no better. the tranny shop told me it mit be a tps and no better. what do yall think? I seen where the mlps mit do it

First step is to check and pull any trouble codes. Does your speedometer work well, or does the needle jump around sometimes?

Had no codes the other day and speedo works correctly

No codes at all? At the minimum you should get 11 or 111

Just checked the codes again at work only thing I'm getting is 33 an 15
Egr is blocked and gonna check in a little while to see if there is power to the PCM

Pins 1, 37 and 57 should get power with the key on. Pin 1 should get power all the time. Code 15 can be set if you recently disconnected the battery. If pin 1 has power, and you haven't recently disconnected the battery, than I would suspect PCM failure.

I had a shifting issue but the limp mode problem. Never did find out specifically but I checked out all the electrical connections that have anything to do with the trans. From the vss in the rear axle to pulling nd inspecting the psom from behind the speedometer. Did something right because haven't had a problem since. (Knock on wood)
