Soak it with plenty of your favorite stuff (WD-40, PB, etc...) that may help loosen it up as well. I'm trying to think if there really is a reason the stock one is so long, and I'm not sure it really matters. Probably makes it easier to remove it given how everything attaches right there.

At least you caught it before it got real bad. When I replaced mine 2 summers ago, it was pouring water out as fast as I could pour it in the radiator. The fan had to have been wobbling all over the place the bearing was so shot.

Well I got out the torch this morning Heated it up and used a Pipe Wrench and it came right off... I got the pump on and of course another issue.. Apperently someone had dropped my new water pump on the ground at the auto part store and the Impeller was bent.. Go Figure with my luck so after putting it half way on, Sealing it with Luquid gasket and installing the new gasket it had to come back off. I had to drive it all the way back up there and get a new one... so a 2 hr job turned into a 5 hr ordeal... but its done an leak free.. Thanks for everyones help!! I gotta go return the Fan Clutch Wrenchs that I rented now!

I've got to do my water pump also. Any recommendations on brand? NAPA here sells a manufactured and 2 types of new (Delphi is twice the price of the store brand)

I always go with a new one over the rebuilt ones. It is always way easier to rremove the fan clutch, before removing the belt. I never pull the fan I just lean it against the radiator.
I also usually try to take the fitting for the heater hose out before unbolting the pump.
Don't forget the fan clutch is left hand threads.
The last new water pump I bought at napa was 58 bucks, not much more than a rebuilt one, but that was a couple years ago.
