Problem with overheating?

It was starting pretty rough last night. I had been changing some lights on the truck and the batteries had died so I had to jump it. And it seemed to pulsate alittle more then it ussually does. It was about 50degrees F last night, I didn't get a chance to drive it last night because i didn't have the lights all the way in yet

Also the smoke was still a little white once the engine was at 180 degrees. But it wasn't very much at all then

Under those conditions, things sound pretty normal. I would see if the scenario keeps occurring and then ohm out the glow plugs to check for any bad ones.
