Ok I got it off and my 680 chip fall off as soon as I got it off. Now this backing is on here and I'm wondering how to get it off????

I don't want to try to pull it off with a screwdriver and end up braking something or is that how I get it off??

Do you need to remove it? A lot of backings are glued on (to protect from short circuiting and vibration) and if you pry it off with a screw driver you do risk damaging the PCB. If it is glue(usually a super glue type) don't use heat because you can damage the solder joints or circuits. Use the thinnest plastic straight edge that you have and go slow. I've done it before but depending on what the backing material is, sometimes you can't get it off in one piece. Possible issues will be static and if there are any charged components on the PCB. You can fry them if you're not careful.
