Would you use this?
Removed my spindle to find my knuckle to be damaged around the edges of spindle the mounting surface. I am debating to carefully clean it up or find a better knuckle. What do you think?

Both posts above are good advice...If you can a replacement cheap, get it for peace of mind. If not, refinish the surface (i.e. sand, blend and smooth) and it should be fine. It won't be as strong as originally, but it should do. Just be careful around the chip closest to one of the spindle mounting holes. It's close enough to possibly have weakened that area a bit and if you get to grinding to much in that area it may cause it to crack or break further.

id run it just sand it back smooth with a 4inch sanding disc on a grinder being carfull not to get it to hot. the olny way id get a replacment is if the junk yard was close to next door and the part was only 5bucks,with the price of gas nothing is cheap anymore

Personally, I dont mess around with damaged parts, especially ones that look like that.
even cheap parts from a junk yard is better than the one you have. Do yourself a favor and replace it it just might save you some headache down the road.
