Power Mirror Switch in Right Position Inoperable

Any ideas what is causing this problem?

Try this thread, in my case both mirrors wouldn't move in one direction.

Do you mean it won't move the mirrors to the right, or do you mean it will operate the driver's mirror, but won't operate the passenger mirror at all?

It won't move the mirror to the right.

If it's the same for both mirrors then it sounds like the switch needs to be replaced.

If it is both mirrors, that is exactly what mine was doing. The connector to the switch was not seated all the way in, there was a lot of weight pulling on it from the harness going to the window and door lock panel below it.

Sounds like the contacts in the switch might be corroded. I had a similar problem, except
my mirrors wouldn't move at all. I took the switch out, took it apart, cleaned up all of the
brass contacts and put it back together. My mirrors work perfectly now.

this problem is only on the right mirror. the left mirror is fine.

I took mine apart on Friday for the same reason. I will take some pics of the inside. The corrosion looks minimal but it is just enough to prevent them from working.
