Power Mirrors

I had a similar problem, it was the right movement, but not sure if it was both mirrors or only the driver side and it was intermittent, but getting worse. If you have the memory for the mirrors, seat and pedals try pushing the 1 or 2 button and see if the mirrors will go to the right to the position they were set to. My mirrors would work fine with the position memory control.
I tried to remove the mirror control switch from the door, but the harness was to short and I couldn't lift the switch up high enough. I needed to also remove the panel for the memory and windows, that is just below the mirror switch, to get some slack on the harness. All I did was to push the connector in on the mirror switch, It didn't seem to be too loose but did move a little, problem fixed.

when i had the issue, my plugs on the back of the mirror had popped out from the motor and i had to replace it. i replaced it with a ebay mirror, it was slow moving and i eventually got an oem one. if its the same mirror as a 98 expo, you can get it(ebay one), just pay shipping. it has a black back with chrome, heated, no turn signal.
the mirrors with the turn signals are those just an extra ground and power wire ran to the front turn signals?
