Big ford cap with points
Can I use the big Ford distributor cap with points?,just for troublshooting.
Another ? is there a way to use the Dura spark dizzy with out the control box.I'm pretty sure the answer is no.

You are correct, you need the module. The sensor/pickup in the dist is for timing and activation of the ignition. The module does the hard work of driving the coil.
