Rear Subwoofer
Well I replaced my rear subwoofer today! Horray! Pretty easy really. You take the 2 cargo net screws off, then pull the plastic out till the point you can get the 2 screws to pull the radio box forward. Then unscrew the 8mm screw going into the back of the speaker. I went with a cheaper $30 special for the subwoofer, but after I put it all back together it sounds really good. It does seem there is more room for a speaker with a bigger magnet than most people make it out to be. So it was an easy install. Took an hour and I took my time doing it.

Look at the passenger side panel behind the rear seat. If you have a cubby hole with a net across it you do not have. If you can see a speaker grill, you do.

Mine hasn't ever worked..well since I've owned it (1 year almost). Im hoping my fix will be as easy as urs. Usually on other fords I've seen a control in the head unit for sub gain?? My head unit (CD-6) only gives bass, treble, bal, fade.... is there an underlying issue here? such as wrong head unit? Ill be doing the test light to see if amp is being supplied with pwr tomorrow..so any helpful tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
