I have an 2001 Expy V8 5.4L I had my ac compressor go out so I installed a bypass pulley this morning. Not too bad of a job but once I started my truck back up I put in in drive and the whole truck shook and puttered when I gave it gas. Put the code reader and I got 7 different faults. 0743,0755,1747,0443,1451,0135,0155,. It drove fine this morning but I have been needing to change it and finally did. My thought is, the lines that were connected to the old compressor are not capped off. I just tied them up. Could or are these vaccuum lines and they're pulling air in?? Like I said I've never had any issues with my tranny and it was fine up until I changed out the compressor?? Help Please!
That's my thought too, but I'mnot sure what vacuum line(s) it could be. I disconnected the hoses from the compressor and pulled it out from the front??? I will need to look around some more, just not sure there were many lines in the way.
okay so i've looked and can't see any line that came loose or cracked? So frustrating because the truck was fine in the morning! All I did was repalce the pulley?? Could it be a fuse? I thought it was the line coming off the air intake, because I was trying to move it out of the way to get the drive belt on? If the belt is not centered correctly would that have an effect on anything? doesn't seem to be out of position but there was a spacer that came with the pulley and it said to use if needed but the belt lines up fine? Just trying to think out of the box.
Maybe u knocked a spark plug /coil connection out and the spark is jumping safe bet to check maybe reset the computer with battery disconnect Although I bet you did that with your code reader. Let us know what it was I replaced my air filter and cleaned my trottlebody did plug etc. and for some weird reason I had that issue aswel
