OK maybe the two dealers I called are blowing smoke up my *** but I wanted to share this will you all anyway. My light started leaking recently and I was planning on just buying the new gasket from Ford as someone had said you could do for about $40. Well first off it was a whole new light with the gasket but hey $40 isn't so bad. Except they have changed the light around some and its no longer available at the $40 price it is now $81. So if you plan to change this out I would contact a dealer now or go straight to aftermarket as you can get a spyder LED for about $73 from autoanything.com. You may have better luck then I did and the dealer may still have one of the old lights in stock but just wanted to share.
Shhhh! The wife might be looking at this and that would ruin me getting the smoked brake light to match my new smoked cab lights. No I thought about the silicone and yes you can do that but I talked to someone I trust who advised me to stay away from silicone on automotive paints unless you are sure where you are caulking will be hidden. So I am looking into the other options and while the $40 I liked the other numbers I am not so keen on at the moment. But I did contact a dealer today who told me they had the light for $63 so that's better then the $81 from the other places.
Drew, FWIW, Richmond Ford gave me a deal when I needed the driver's window switch. The price difference between retail and Ed (partsguyed) was about $35 and Richmond was compliant and met me in the middle. Would have been about the same amount as Ed + shipping and I had it same day.

Chandler I talked to Richmond Ford as well as Universal and they both told me the same thing $81 for the new design light. Medlin Ford in Westpoint told me the $63 but then i either have to drive down or get it shipped.
Chris, No Ford doesn't have a smoked one that is an aftermarket product but it is an LED brake light and only $73 so when you factor everything together the aftermarket is the best deal currently because it will have free shipping.
