Im trying to find a 3rd brake light gasket for a 3rd brake light/dome light on a 97 F250 diesel. I can find stupid rice burner looking 3rd brake lights which are stupid and a factory brake light is almost $250. Junk yards dont help because the ones there are worn out like the one I already have. Anyone have any ideas?

 

If it was me I would just make one. Any auto parts store should have the material. Just cut it bigger than you need and once installed use a knife and carefully trim around the fixture.

 

X2 on the make a gasket or you could just use some silicone to seal it up. Also LMC Truck has an LED 3rd brake light that IMO looks pretty darn nice.

 

If i remember, ford just stuck a piece of foam back there that isn't even as big as the light. haha.
Get some good rubbery stuff to put back there to make a good seal. I'd avoid any silicone incase you gotta change the bugger.

 

i replaced mine from ford it had no gasket, used clear silicone bead around it & it hasn't leaked-yet
