Bunklash, no worries man. I understand what you are saying completely. There is plenty more to the story, PM me if you would like to know the entire story.
for the OP, one thing I forgot to mention was that unless you run a pipe out past the axle, it makes it difficult to talk on the phone when you are on the gas really hard.
Hm. Decisions decisions. Im liking how it sounds with out the muffler. But i know its gonna be too loud for the parents and neighbors. i mean my neighbors house is literally 3 feet from my driveway. Plus i have to drive in between my house and the neighbors to get out of my driveway.
This totally sucks.
And again since i havent got an answer. Stock piping is... 2.5"?
I had a friend that did this to his 5.4 f150 and it sounded good for only having to pay someone $20 to cut out the muffler and weld a piece of tubeing where the exhaust used to be. You could always just put a turn into the exhaust and have it right in front of your rear tire. I have a couple buddies who did this and I have been in there trucks for long drives and never had a problem with hearing or smelling any fumes but everyone has there own opinion but it is up to you on what you want.
