when a/c/ is on high does the a/c fan blow air on to the floor board ? mine never has, thought it might be a vacuum leak. all the other vents blow 39*. curious . thanks
No. It only blows on the vents. You can turn it to where its on vent and floor and your AC works still... At least on my truck and my wifes Excursion...

Depends on what you mean by "high".
You can get A/C to the floor with the fan in the high position by selecting the Panel/Floor position (1 o'clock on the dial).
On Max A/C the air flow is directed to the dash vents only.
Here are some pages from the workshop manual that talks about the climate control operation. The diagrams helped me understand the system a little better than just reading the text.
OK i am a tard. i will try that today on my way home, i thought this whole time that the floor and vent were for heat only . thank you for setting me straight

Me too. I used to think that everything to the right of the "Off" position was heat and everything to the left was for cold air. Pretty rare to use any of the heated settings where I live so it was quite a while before I learned the actual function of the various settings.
its only been since 09 when i got my truck. now i have to laugh at my self.
Yeah, I have those moments all the time. I still laugh at myself for thinking that only water will come of the fuel bowl when I turned that yellow drain lever. What a mess in my driveway. I'll never do that again.
Dont feel too bad. My wife had to show me how that worked as well... I figured AC was AC and everything else was vent air. Nice to have my feet cooled on those hot days.
