Door Jamb Switch

I am trying to locate a door jamb switch for my 1973 F250. A picture of the old switch is here - https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/1...18311499983793

I found one at Autozone, but it is clearly not the right one. Duralast/Door Jamb Switch (SW107) | 1973 Ford F250 3/4 ton P/U 2WD 8 Cylinders H 6.4L 2BL OHV | AutoZone.com

I also found one at DC, but from the picture, it looks exactly the same as Autozone. Any ideas?

Did you look at NPD or LMC?

That's the right one. You screw it into the door jam and the first time you close the door it self-adjusts.

Exactly right, it adjusts when you close the door. You can also use NAPA DJ6330

Thanks. That makes much more sense. I was holding the new switch in my hand and was sure it was wrong. But now I understand. Thank you!

E8DZ-13713-A (replaced E3SZ-13713-A & D3TZ-13713-A) .. Courtesy Lamp/Dome Lamp Switch (Motorcraft SW-2003-A) / Available from Ford.

Applications: 1973/96 F100/350 / 1978/96 Bronco // 1974/76 Thunderbird/Cougar/Continental Mark IV / 1974/78 Mustang II / 1975/80 Granada/Monarch / 1975/2012 Econoline-Side & Rear Hinged Doors only.

1976/77 Maverick/Comet / 1977/80 Lincoln Versailles / 1982/02 Lincoln Continental Sedan / 1983/94 Ranger / 1983/97 Thunderbird/Cougar/Mark VII/VIII / 1984/90 Bronco II / 1984/97 Tempo/Topaz / 1986/92 Aerostar.

1986/94 Taurus/Sable / 1991/01 Explorer/Mountaineer.

If you cannot find one a these vehicles in a boneyard, you're residing in Antarctica!
