Fuel line issue.

I've got a 1997 F250 with dual tanks. Here's what I did: I pulled the rear tank cuz it was leaking. Disconnected and cut all lines going to the rear tank prior to pulling it and let them be. Drove it today and was losing all of my gas from my front tank through one of the lines. Now, is there something else I have to do with those lines like capping them or something? My goal is to continue driving the truck with just the front tank. Any help is appreciated.

Im not 100% about this but im pretty sure your year truck uses pressure operated check valves in each tank to make sure the "return" fuel goes back into the correct tank. So since your tank is gone there is nothing to stop it from flowing onto the ground. So I would assume all you need to to is cap that return line.
