I have a 2008 F350 and have a heating/ AC challenge. in summer you turn on the AC and driver 2 vents send you warm air, like it is not shut off to the out side completely and is getting a mix of cool and warm air. On the passenger side they are frozen. those 2 vents are putting out lots of cold air. the Mechanics computer says that a flap is not working. I took the dash apart and worked all the flaps I could see and everything moved and completely closed that I could see. Is there a flap that I am missing.
It is more than likely one of the blend doors not working, driver's side. We had a lot of issues with single control blend door actuators.
The flap for the drivers side is on the bottom of the heater/evap core box. The floor duct is on top of it. The passenger side is opposite it on the top.
The book says u have to remove the whole a/c/heating unit but hopefully that is not the case.
thanks for the information. is there any way you could send me a picture of where the flap is that i have to get to. do I have to take the dash apart again? Or since it is on the bottom of the heater/evap core box is that from the out side?
