I am just curious, I have seen alot of '03 F350s with fender decals ands a few without them. was there a trim package in '03/04 that did not come with the decals?? Just wondering. Thanks
Also has anyone else noticed that there has been a lot of rude responses on some of the posts? Seems to me that there are alot of people on here lately who just want to cause trouble instead of helping to provide information to other Ford owners looking for answers. Thanks for letting me vent!
As far as I am aware, all 4x4 trucks came from the factory with either the '4x4', '4x4 OFF ROAD', or 'FX4 OFF ROAD' decals, and if the truck is missing them, either the owner removed them, or had the dealer remove them at the time of delivery.
Mine had 4X4 OFF ROAD on the side of the bed. First mod I did to my truck was to remove the decals. They aren't my style. I figure it's pretty obvious it's a 4X4, so why put a sticker on it.
Interesting!!! Would the paint color have made a difference with the decals? My truck is dark blue (grey on the bottom)
The paint won't change whether or not you have decals, but it will determine what color your decals are. Your truck being blue would probably have grey decals. White and silver trucks get black decals. Black, red, and green trucks get white decals, although I have seen some gold decals on the green.
My new to me F250 only has a decal on the windshield (SUPER DUTY) above the mirror, only really noticable from the inside. Guess it is to remind you what you are driving.
Most all truck as stated came with the decals providing they were 4x4 models. My 04 KR had the FX4 offroad one on it. However, I have seen others that install decals on 2x4 models just to look cool I guess or fake it.
I get to put mine on tomarrow

I prefer the OEMs. They are 'transfers' as opposed to 'decals'. The OEM transfers last longer and are thinner so they don't peel around the edges. The OEMs are more expensive, but not overly.
