Canadian tire is like Harbor Freight. Some stuff is very good for the price but a majority of their tools are really cheap and has no place in my toolbox.
Yeah good return policy but lately you can only warranty it once! The maximum series stuff ain't too bad though. I've probably burnt out about 8 mastercraft 5" angle grinders! I now have a Hitatchi.
Yeah I'm Milwaukee when it comes to power tools.
Hand tools are mastercraft. Even have a few princess auto things or the stuff I use once a month
I'm not a wrencher by trade (I'm operational finance)...but I'm lucky, my old man's Snap-On stuff always seems to find it's way into my rigs and my uncle was a Snap-On engineer, so freebies weren't uncommon. Beyond that, I use Kobalt as my throw away tools and for my 'emergency' packs in my rigs. Back in highschool, a decade or so ago, it was Craftsman...but warranty claims got harder and harder and warranty doesn't mean jack when you're on the side of the road with a split socket or stripped ratchet..
I don't use harbor freight rachets or pliars busted knuckles or pinched to many fingers with them. . I do use there impact sockets an wrenches though. If i have to cut one in half to get to something i don't feel bad about it since there cheap.

I had to use an 8 mm Pittsburg wrench today in a pinch, didn't even round off the bolt
