Has anyone removed the badges on their Ex? I went to take the badge off of the back door and found that there were plastic tabs on the back. So I didn't end up taking it off. Just curiouse as to how you went about filling the the holes and if the side side badges have the same tabs. I assume they do. Any input?
What color is your Ex? I wanted to take the badges off as well, but didn't want to deal with the holes. I have a black ex, taped off, steel wooled and painted the badges flat black. Not quite as cool as no badges, but still better then the factory "chrome" look.
Replace it with an 'Escape' badge. That will confuse some people.
Seriously though, I kind of have the same problem. I have two holes to fill in the front bumper of my new Fusion, WV doesn't require front plates. Soooo, what to do?
I de-badged my Corolla (RIP) but I like the Excursion badge, it's a badge of honor.
The paint code is on the drivers side B-pillar. If it's like mine, it's toreador red.
I have a missing paint code tag, it's not on there. Nowhere to be found. It's not the red thought it's the same as locknload223's. What color is it?

I like it too but I have something in mind to put in it's place, so maybe I could just cover up the hole. Or maybe I could replace it with an Escape badge.
I used Customized Billet Aluminum Badges For Your Ride for my truck. You can design your own stuff to replace them or not...but I like mine! Maybe use plastic license plate tabs and get tough up paint and fill holes.
