So I finally got around to doing the spring swap that I've been planning. I got ahold of some T code springs last summer and although they aren't as good as the V's I think they'll be better than OEM Ex springs. So far (before settling) they have brought the Ex up about 1-1/2 inches. The Ex also looks better now that it's more level up front too. I forgot to get some before pictures but I think I might have some old pictures that show before I did the swap. I'll get some after pictures in the next couple days and hopefully get them posted up here. I haven't gotten to drive it out on the highway yet but I did take it around the block and over a couple of speed bumps and it seems to ride better so far. I also noticed while I was under the Ex doing the swap that my front sway bar bushings are shot and I will be getting a new set of those in the near future also; hopefully that will cure the clunk under my floorboards.
That is most likely the clunk you're hearing. To be certain, you can remove the sway bar from one end link to take the pressure off the whole system and test drive it. If the clunk goes away, that's you're problem.
If you buy the Energy Suspension bushing kit, you're going to have to press the old 'bushings' out of your end links. I say bushings but they're more like tie rod ends. You may already know this if not... Heads Up!
I'll have to wait till tonight to post pictures since I'm at work and using my phone now. I'm pretty sure the clunk is the sway bar because I was looking at the end links and they look pretty torn up.
