So, I had to take pictures of my rear springs for Hink last night. I haven't been under my Wife's Excursion since my trip down to Pismo, but I think that's when this happened:
Yeah, I lost the bushing and nut.
The drivers side is still on there strong, after 6+, years but I musta done a number of that passenger side when I got stuck at one point with the rear end buried. The suspension flex I had when it happened was pretty radical for a stock suspension but I never thought to check things after I got pulled free.
Anyway, I just got off the phone with Kevin at Hellwig and tried to order replacement bushings and nuts for my setup but he said he was sending them to me for free.
6+ years after I bought from JC Whitney and Hellwig is gonna hook me up. Hows that for customer service?
Since we all push the Hellwig sway bar whenever we talk about the spring mods, I thought you guys might wanna know just how readily Hellwig stands behind their products.
I know Hellwig isn't a Supporting Vendor here at FTE, but we do have SV's who sell their products like Riffraff Diesel, our forum sponsor.

I do remember reading some of your early threads and you were so green you asked all the same questions we all do now...that was then.
Oh yeah. You should see the questions I posted back when I first registered at FTE.
Ya know, on second thought, let's not!
Wanna know something funny? I had zero knowledge about diesel engines when I bought the Ex for my wife, except to know they lasted a long time and they could produce a crap ton of torque. And when I say zero knowledge, I mean ZERO. How bad? I had no clue they worked off of glow plugs.
I didn't know spark plugs were for gas engines only.
But now....I usually just wait till you post to see the OP get swallowed by the overwhelmingcosmic knowledgethatStewart NowPOSSESSES.
LOL, please! Only in my dreams where I'm king.
Errrr, wait, I've been married for over 23 years. I'm not even king in my own dreams anymore.
Gee Stewart thats a shame, a lot of rust for California isn't it.........
Eh, not really.
The rig is almost 13 years old, and I do live within shouting distance of the Pacific. There are days the salt spray is so churned up it's like a light fog engulfing parts of Highway 1 as you make your way into Monterey.

Dude that's me and that is why I always want to meet up with you guys at ManTown or when you are just helping other FTE members out. I learn lots.
