Another thumbs up for Barber Family Homestead Park. We enjoyed our stay there in '13 as a base camp for day trips to the Adirondacks.

We might have even nodded hello or chatted during your stay. In 2013 we were in their Site 29 with our Titanium, moving over to 29A afterwards with the Montana. Lots of Ford (and Vermont owner Dodges

Anyone know of a campground fairly close to Newark, NJ? I may be there for an extended stay. I need to be near the airport/seaport.

I finally found that one...pricey to say the least.

I had forgotten that Elizabeth NJ is the actually location of the airport/seaport.

So with a little work I found a trailer park that allows extended stays:

They told me $875 a month, full hookups.

Don't know if they give a law enforcement or military discount, doubt it.

Senix, if you have a military ID there are 4 campgrounds on or near the coast of NJ. Didn't look up,specifics. But found them on militarycampgrounds.us

I found one, Naval Weapons Depot that is close. Elizabeth, NJ is where the airport/seaport is at.

So that is 33 miles south. nearest one I could find.

Just made reservations for the first week in January at the KOA there.

Hope that they are a nice place.

Anyone ever been there and if so what else other things of interest are there?

We made the run up to Wilmington to see BB-55 a couple of years ago when we were staying in Sunset beach NC (Brunswick Beaches Campground), there are far more areas open to the public on the North Carolina than on our local Battleship, The New Jersey BB-62.

Have used this one a number of times.... handy for me. Close to runway tho.... hope you aren't a LATE sleeper.

66th Force Support Squadron (FSS) at Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts

Have used the one at Westover AFB also, near Springfield, MA. Really nice.
