That is kinda expensive for a stock USED trans, IMO. It costs money to have it cleaned when the used trans breaks. Nice to hook Grandpa with a 20 yo hottie but when Grandpa breaks, the hottie will have to be cleaned out.

I second the Precision Stallion....Great TC.
But if you were the next grandpa, would you not want it cleaned out first and not have the crap left from the last grandpa? At least that was what I did when my trans broke. Sent it back to Precision Industries to be cut apart, cleaned, welded back and balanced. $400 give or take
Not that my trans will blow any time soon or ever!!!, but you know my luck...
I had a built trans for my Vette. 700R4. It broke after beating on it with WOT runs every day for 3.5 years and it was a DD except when there was snow. I used a PI TC. Obviously when it broke, I had to have it rebuilt and the TC cleaned. I believe I paid for having it cut apart, cleaned, welded back and balanced. They will, at that time, restall it for you if you choose. If it happens in your 2 yr warranty period, they will give you a free restall which you can use towards that cleaning. See example of girl who leaves Grandpa1 to be with Grandpa2. He'd want it flushed too and I am pretty confident you would want a girl who has been somewhere else cleaned out before you get her.
Use it long enough and I promise you it will. But since you have no time limit on your warranty, WGAS? OTOH, maybe your previous builder can take it apart and see what Brian did and maybe build something about half as good?
