Annoying torque converter
Hello everyone. Long time reader and first time poster.
I have a 2004 F150 supercrew 5.4. The only thing that really bothers me is the torque converter unlocking even on the slightest of grades. Travelling the highway at 70 mph the trans is continually locking and unlocking the converter. I'm sure it can't be the healthiest thing for the trans, having all that heat building up. Do any of you find this irritating and what can be done to improve it?

Not sure what trans you have, but once you are satisfied that this is the "correct" stock way it works and not a problem, you can check here for different controllers, torque converters etc.
