Need a 4R100 case.....

Hey guys, I am rebuilding a 4R100 in a 2003 F-250 7.3L and discovered that the case is cracked. I need to find another case, and am having quite a difficult time locating one. (the couple I found are very pricey)

If anyone here has a 4r100 they would like to part with, let me know and how much you want for it.

It can be any 99-03 4R100 (from behind a 7.3L), 2 or 4wd, preferably without PTO.

Thanks in advance,

What about JB-weld

I don't know where to purchase a case.

but if the crack is smaller, maybe JB-weld is a good path.

tig welded, be the best route, but if cracked internally where gears and things are, then i'd start looking into craigslist....they're EVERYWHERE out here..CA

Thanks for the replies!

As for the first point, it is way too bad to weld, (spiderweb cracks from external impact).

They are going for $500 here, for just the case

If you guys see one somwhere, let me know please, I can drive some, or arrange shipping.

I'd rather buy a "good" junkyard trans for a couple hundred more than pay $500 for the shell.

Thanks guys,

Thanks for the help guys, I finally found one today in St.Louis. Went up there and got it this afternoon. 400 miles and $400 later, I have what I need.

Thanks again for trying to help me out!
