I have used two different oil pressure sending units and keep getting the needle to peg all the way, am I getting to much pressure or is the actual gauge at fault? I know I need a mechanical but I also want the factory gauges working properly.

What sending unit are you using? One for a 94 or one from an 87-down?
The reason I ask is maybe the previous owner converted the gauge to read real pressure like my 87 does. In 88-up Ford changed the gauges and pressure sender to a switch, so the gauge only reads on/off with no variables.
What does the gauge read if its unplugged at the sensor?
would recommend mechanical gauges can get set of three (oil pres. water temp, and battery voltage) for around 50 bucks at orielly i been running them over a year now with no problems.... my stock gauge went crazy to so i just eliminated it and couldn't be happier i sleep better knowing im gettin the real numbers not just a on/off signal.... could be runnin 1 psi of pressure or 1000 with that damn stock hunk a junk
We put a tee in the line with a new sending unit on my sons' 94 Turbo to have both mech. and elec. gauges. The stocker worked for maybe a month so if I was doing it again,I'd just hook up the mech. only.
