Ball joints question

Ball joints question
So i went down to the advanced auto near my town to pick up so ball joints, the only had 4x4 4600lbs ball joints. i know the weight is right for my truck. but can i fit 4x4 ball joints on a 2x4 truck? i have the tie rod ends. but they don't seem to even have 2wd ball joints in there system. My father and i refuse to do the ball joints our selves so we would have to take it to a shop with a big enough lift/garage for the truck. Any help guys?
