Quick question for the OP!

Are you certain the 12v auxiliary wire on the trailer is hot using YOUR pickup? It is my understanding that the brake wire actuates the brakes, but the Auxiliary wire powers the hydraulics.
Are your grounds good?

Nope, not sure of that. But from what I have been reading fords controller just is not designed to work with elec/hyd systems. I may get that adapter.

I've never connected to an E/hyd that didn't work...

but two isn't a perfect sample size.
