My 03 cc 4x4 w/3.73gears and 285 75/r17s gets 12.7 on the display which is actually 12.3 on paper. I have checked it a couple of times. Thats driving to and from work 12 miles each way. My Excursion gets about .5-1mpg less than the truck on average. In town with no hi-way miles drops below 10 very quickly on both vehicles.

Is there any easy way to find out what gears I have?
I crawled under the truck and looked at the sticker on the back side of the front axle. Most people also seem to have a sticker on the inside of the drivers door frame as well. Mine doesn't for some unknown reason.

Mine doesn't have the ratio on the door either. However mine was also exported to Canada when it was new (the Data tag on the door frame is in English and French) and then brought back to the US after a year according to CarFax . So I don't know if it being a "Canadian" truck has anything to do with the tag not being on the door frame.
